UNDER THE APULIAN SKY is located 2 kilometres from the town centre of Martina Franca, a beautiful baroque town. Walking along Piazza XX Settembre, and through the arch of Saint Stefano, you enter the historical part of town where you immediately find Palazzo Ducale, which houses the council chambers. The historical town is paved with white chianche, home to numerous churches (the main church being the Basilica of San Martina), arches and charming white antique buildings. The month of July and beginning of August is an opera lovers paradise, because Martina Franca hosts an international opera festival, the festival of the Valle d’Itria. At the end of August, the Cabaret Festival delights cabaret lovers.
